Fuses – Fuses protect the electrical system from damage that is caused by overloaded circuits.

Replace the fuse if the element separates. If the element of a new fuse separates, check the circuit. Repair the circuit, if necessary.

Replace the fuses with the same type and size only. Otherwise, electrical damage can result.

If it is necessary to replace fuses frequently, an electri- cal problem may exist. Contact your Caterpillar dealer

Remove the cover for the fuse panel.

• (2) Rear Flood Lamps

• (3) Backup Alarm

• (4) Interlock Control

• (5) Wiper

• (6) Gauges

• (7) Auxiliary Hydraulic Control

• (8) Cold Start and Hydraulic Filter

• (9) Left Tail Lamp

• (10) Right Tail Lamp

• (11) Auxiliary tools

• (12) Fourth Function

• (13) Heater

• (14) Horn

• (15) Miscellaneous Power

• (16) Key Switch

The main circuit breaker is located in the engine compartment on the left side.

can the main circuit breaker go bad? When turning key to start position panel lights go out. When key is in run position no headlights or tail lights are on. New starter, checked key switch with new key switch. Relays appear good, switched them and no change. Fuses are good. Stumped. Not sure what direction to go next.
