Allis Chalmers  Won't Start

ALLIS-CHALMERS machinery is very reliable and rarely fails. But even she sometimes has a breakdown. There is a very unpleasant situation when the ALLIS-CHALMERS engine has stalled and does not want to start. At the same time on the display of the instrument panel lights up a message with the appropriate description of the error code of the fault. But there are exceptions when errors are not highlighted. Specialists of our company have accumulated considerable experience in diagnosing and repairing the described faults. There are two radically different options for the "unplugged" engine:

  • When you turn the key in the ignition, the starter rotates the engine of the excavator
  • Starter does not turn on and does not turn the engine

I will try to tell in more detail about each of the options for malfunctioning equipment.

Does not turn the starter ALLIS-CHALMERS

If the control system of the above equipment when turning the ignition key to the start does not include the starter, then the cause of the breakdown lies in the electrical equipment or electronic systems of the truck. The reasons may be the following:

  • Malfunction of the relay and fuse box
  • Lack of contacts in connectors of electrical wiring
  • Malfunction of the main truck relay
  • Failure of the ignition lock Failure of the starter
  • CSC bus open or shorted
  • Lack of “mass”
  • Lack of supply voltage on the engine control unit
  • Open or short wiring harness
  • Starter Retractor Malfunction
  • Ignition lock failure
  • Failure of the engine control unit

Starter turns - will not start

If the starter of the described technology turns when turning the key in the ignition lock, but the motor does not give any signs. The cause of the malfunction may be in the electrical equipment of the car, and in mechanics. Fault autoelectrics can be as described above, except for faults associated with the starter and its circuits, plus the following reasons:

  • Malfunction of the fuel high-pressure pump (fuel pump)
  • Mechanical engine failure
  • “Airing” of fuel equipment
  • Immobilizer malfunction
  • Lack of diesel in the tank
  • Fuel filter clogging
  • Chip fault in the key
  • Fuel line clogging
  • Failure of the check valve
  • Nozzle Mechanical Failures
